MAYBELLINE WATER SHINE EXTRA VOLUME LIPGLOSS REVIEW: VOLUPTUOUS BROWN

Glosses are one thing which I can’t do without.  Today I'll do a review on Maybelline Water Shine Extra Volume Lip Gloss in the color Voluptuous Brown. 

 To be very frank, about a year back, the brand which covered almost 70 % of my make-up stuff was Maybelline. I still have no clue why this brand attracted me so much then. I guess I’ve tried everything that Maybelline had launched till then. At the same time, it’s not like I’ve stopped using Maybelline stuff, but yes, surely have reduced my investment on that particular brand. But I’m still a big fan of Maybelline products.

So let’s start with the story behind this product… I had a patent lip gloss color from Maybelline (Full Bodied Wine) which I was totally obsessed with. But somehow Maybelline discontinued that color. I searched almost all the Maybelline counters in Kolkata as well as all the shops keeping Maybelline products near my home but all of them were sold out. So while checking out new colors I came across this Maybelline Water Shine lipgloss in Voluptuous Brown.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH MAYBELLINE WATER SHINE EXTRA VOLUME LIPGLOSS: VOLUPTUOUS BROWN

Although the color says brown but its not exactly brown. Its actually orangish brown. More of orange and less of brown. I am absolutely in love with this color. It’s a very wearable color both in day as well as night. I also top this gloss over natural shade lipsticks. It’s not sticky. But the lasting power of these glosses are very less. Hardly one hour.

·         Not that expensive

·         Adds shine to your lips

·         Lovely shade

CONS:

·         Lasting power is very bad

KHADI FACE CLEANSER CUCUMBER WATER REVIEW

Hi Everyone…

As summer is in it’s top form, I have developed a habit of giving a temporary relief to my face by spraying chilled rose water, khadi mint and cucumber face freshner, rubbing ice cube etc etc. Although the relief in too short but it does freshen me up. Due to the weather condition in Kolkata, I sweat a lot and have developed few acnes on my forehead L, which I am desperate to get rid of. Recently I bought some face packs from Khadi which really worked for me (specially the fruit face pack). That’s why I decided to give this Cucumber Water a shot.

INGREDIENTS:

Aqua, Cucumber

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

With honey, Cucumber extracts and barberry. Removes pimples, makes skin smooth, soft and lustrous. 

DIRECTIONS TO USE:

Wet face and neck with water, then apply cucumber cleanser with cotton. After 5 to 10 minutes wash it.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH KHADI FACE CLEANSER CUCUMBER WATER:

As Khadi products are totally herbal, it has become one of my favorite brand. Till now I don’t have any complaint about any of the products of Khadi. So coming to the packaging of the product, it comes in a white transparent bottle with a flip open top. One bad thing about the packaging is that if the bottle is not kept upright, it leaks. I did waste some by keeping it horizontally. The liquid is a translucent in nature. It doesn’t have any smell as such. As per directions, I use it on a wet face with a cotton ball. It does not sting or irritate my face at all nor does it feels sticky on your face. After washing off the liquid, it gives a fresh and a smooth feeling. One thing I don’t understand why they have directed to apply it on a wet face and not on a dry face??? Whatever, I also use this cucumber water to make my face pack. Overall it’s a good product, although nothing great but useful.

AYUR EXFOLIATING CUCUMBER FACE GEL REVIEW

Today I’ll write a review on Ayur Exfoliating Cucumber Face Gel. So I came across this face wash almost a year back. Let me tell you at the beginning, I am not at all a fan of Ayur product. Somehow they always disappoint me, specially the toner. Though the reason behind buying this product was the presence of the two words- ‘cucumber gel’. The words GEL attracts me I don’t know why.  Maybe it gives me a feeling that it doesn’t contain soap or something like that. So lets start with the review.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT

A deep cleansing formula helps to remove dead cells, pollutant, makeup residuals, pigmentation and under eye problem. Cucumber is a rich moisturizer and excellent coolant, which rejuvenates the inner and external skin tissues making your complexion brighter with flawless glow.

SLES, Cucumber extracts, wheatgerm, milicaps, menthol, fragrance, aqua

PACKAGING

It comes in a small tube with a green colored screw cap.

DIRECTIONS TO USE

Apply it on wet face and then gently massage in circular movement till lather is formed. Wash off with plenty of cold water.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH AYUR EXFOLIATING CUCUMBER FACE GEL

It’s totally a gel like thing. It doesn’t really have any fragrance but has a smell of cucumber. There are few things that I don’t agree with the description of the product that’s written on the tube.  I have some contradiction with the words like Exfoliating, Lather and Fragrance. As I said before, it’s a total gel thing. It doesn’t contain any granules or anything that will help your skin to exfoliate. Next contradictory word is lather. This is my second file. Till now, not even once did it form lather on massaging. Lastly the word ‘fragrance’. There is absolutely no fragrance. I don’t know if they meant the smell of cucumber to be fragrance or something like that. But apart from these I like this face wash. It’s a mild kind of face wash. One good thing is this that after using, it doesn’t make your skin dry and stretchy. I get a fresh feeling after using this. The product is nothing really special but I keep this as an alternative face wash. The days when I am at home, I use this face wash to freshen up.

Hi everyone...today I'll do a review on Aroma Magic Hydro Gel.

So I brought this product almost a month back by seeing it on an online shopping site and I really wanted to try it because it claimed to be light and is in a gel form. Let me also tell you another reason for buying this. I am from Kolkata. The words ‘Kolkata’ and ‘Sweat’ goes hand in hand. People who live in Kolkata or has been in Kolkata during this time knows exactly what I mean. Whatever you put on, it gets washed away by sweat if you are not in AC. So I wanted to try a light moisturizer which will get absorbed easily.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT

A deep nourishing & lubricating gel rich in lactic acid. Prevents skin dehydration & dryness. Regenerates cellular tissue & prevents skin degeneration. Leaves skin smooth, nourished, luminous & shades lighter.

Extracts of Seaweed, Aloe Vera, Rosemary & pure essential oils of Geranium, Lavender & Jasmine.

It comes in a tub with a red screw cap. The mouth of the tub is covered with a foil.

For oily skin, apply and leave on. For dry skin, use under moisturising lotion. 

MY EXPERIENCE WITH AROMA MAGIC HYDRO GEL

It’s a totally transparent gel like thing. I won’t say it’s very good to smell as it does not have any fragrance but it gives me a fresh feeling. It smells kind of aloe vera or something like that. I generally use it after taking bath. It requires very small amount as it is water based. It does moisturize the skin well, at least for summers. Although I am a bit doubtful about it’s moisturizing capabilities in winters. But for summers its perfect as it doesn't make your skin sticky or greasy. One of the most important feature of this product is that as it is gel based, its gets absorbed totally within a minute or two and makes your skin look hydrated.

LAKME FACE MAGIC DAILY WEAR SOUFFLE

Hi there...
So today I'll review Lakme Face Magic Daily Wear Souffle. I bought this product about a few months back. I came across this product on an online shopping site. What made me determined to buy this, was the price. Although I didn't buy this online, I rather went to the mall and bought this. I wanted to try this first but the Sales Assistant told me that they don't have a tester for this product. But still I decided to buy as it wasn't too expensive for an experiment.

 

DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT

A light weight water based foundation that gently evens out our complexion. With the goodness of sunscreen, cucumber extracts and Vitamin E. It provides UV protection in addition to soothing and moisturizing, giving you a natural flawless glow.

PACKAGING

It comes in a small transparent glass pot type container with a plastic cap. The actual content of the product is 30 ml but when I saw it on the online shopping site, it seemed bigger :P

MY EXPERIENCE WITH LAKME FACE MAGIC DAILY WEAR SOUFFLE:

To be very frank, I didn't know the meaning of 'Souffle'. I searched the dictionary for the meaning which said something like "light baked dish made fluffy with beaten egg whites...." etc etc. The dictionary meaning gave me an illusion of the product to be light weight, semi creamy...sort of a mousse type. But when I actually saw that souffle thing at home, it was totally different.

On just seeing the product, without even applying it, I was sure that I wasted rs.99. The texture is very peculiar. It’s neither creamy nor liquid. And it has a really strong fragrance which is a sure shot a put off. Despite being the lightest shade (Natural Pearl), its one shade darker to my skin tone. It’s neither a foundation nor a moisturizer. It really gave me a tanned look. It gets greasy and sticky. I have a combination skin and it still broke out on me L. It’s a total no no for oily people.

Maybelline Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lipcolor: Bronze Orange

I am not much of a Lipcolor person. I always like to put on a little gloss and get going. But recently I am on the hunt for good and economic natural shades lipcolors. One thing I made sure that as am not a regular lipstick person, I wouldn't invest a lot of money on a single lipcolor. From the launch of Maybelline's Color Sentational range, I've been hearing some good reviews about the products. So here's my 1st Maybelline Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lipcolor in Bronze Orange shade.

Maybellime Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lip Color is composed of crisp color from pure color pigments that give you rich opaque lips. The lipstick feels very creamy, with is built in lip balm that also has SPF 15 for sun protection.

ABOUT THE SHADE BRONZE ORANGE

 

BRONZE ORANGE is a nice color with orange undertone. It is not a deep color. It’s a very pretty color. It does not contain any shimmer. At the beginning as I said I was generally in the lookout for a perfect day look lip color and I must say Bronze Orange did qualify my criteria. I just put 1 swipe of the lip color and top it up with a lip gloss.

TEXTURE OF THE LIP COLOR

Texture of the lipstick is very smooth. It glides on the lips effortlessly. Just 1 swipe is enough for the day look. The color and intensity can be built up easily with 2 to 3 swipes.
